Two departments funded by Atchison County had their budget workshops with Commissioners in Monday’s regular meeting.
The first was with Atchison Senior Village.
County Commissioner Jeff Schuele says Administrator Peggy House has proposed little change from the previous year to their two point eight million dollar proposal.

Commissioners also heard a 35 hundred dollar budget request from Happy Hearts Director Amanda Ramsey to continue to assist high school aged students finish school, earn a G.E.D., and move towards post-secondary education.
Road and Bridge Supervisor Matt Dorssom also reported longtime county shop employee Gary Hosier will retire Thursday after 42 years of service.
