The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the Northwest Missouri region for the week of April 30-May 4, 2012.
Weather conditions may cause postponements in the planned work schedule. Other construction or maintenance work, such as brush removal, ditch cleaning, spraying, etc. may occur on other roadways throughout the area. Many projects will include lane closures and delays can be expected.
Atchison County
Route 111 - Contractors will begin a one inch asphalt overlay from Route W (Corning) to Route E on May 1st. The project is expected to run through May 9
Interstate 29 - crews will be repairing the northbound driving lane of the bridge deck of the Mill Creek bridge April 30 through May 1. The lane will remain closed overnight.
Interstate 29 - crews will be repairing the northbound driving lane of the bridge deck of the Rock Creek bridge April 30 through May 3. The northbound driving lane will remain closed throughout the length of the project.
Route 111 - crews will be working on the shoulders from Route E to Route W May 1 through May 4
Route C - crews will be working on the shoulders from U.S. Hwy 71 (Nodaway) to Route O April 30 through May 4th.
Holt County
U.S. Hwy 159 - Contractors will begin a one inch overlay from U.S. Hwy 59 to Interstate 29. The project is expected to run through May 1
Route E - Contractors will begin a one inch asphalt overlay from U.S. Hwy 59 in Mound City to U.S. Hwy 159 on April 25. The project is expected to run through May 3.
Route B - crews will be pothole patching along the entire route April 30
Route Y - crews will be pothole patching along the entire route May 2
U.S. Hwy 159 - crews will be working on the bridge approaches at the Penny Slough bridge May 3 and 4
Route C - closed at the Middle Branch Squaw Creek bridge for a Safe & Sound Bridge Project. Possibly reopening the week of May 7
Route 111 - closed at the Old Channel Big Tarkio bridge for a Safe & Sound Bridge Project. Possibly reopening the week of May 22nd.
