The position is posted on the Atchison County web site and is listed as opened until filled; however, Schuele says Lanter reported to them that he would like to fill it within the next two weeks.
Commissioners also approved the bid for Hundley Construction to begin the installation of an ADA elevator in the courthouse and a women’s restroom.
Schuele expects the project to begin in the late spring and conclude by the end of the year.
