Atchison County Commissioners hope to obtain a grant to bring in environmentally recycled equipment for Atchison’s sports complex.
Commissioners granted permission to apply for a grant to the Kansas Deparment of Health and Environment.
Commissioner Jeff Schuele says funding for the program comes from collection of a fee on new tire sales around the state.
