Pawnee County Courthouse
(KLZA)-- The Pawnee County Board of Commissioners approved an agreement for the Four County Juvenile Service Grant Program when they met Tuesday. The agreement approved Maxine Schatz implementing a Four County Juvenile Service Diversion.
Pawnee County Emergency Manager Clint Strayhorn met with the Board to discuss a bill from the Falls City Volunteer Fire Department for use of the Falls City aerial truck during a recent fire in downtown Pawnee City. The Board referred Strahorn to the City of Pawnee City.
Awarding of a bid for a bridge project was tabled until the October 13th meeting so Mainelli, Wagner and Associates can complete the cost comparisons. The County Handbook Committee met with the Board to discuss updates.
Correspondence regarding distress warrants and a list of all parcels of real estate in Pawnee County on which any taxes are delinquent and were not sold for want of bidders was reviewed.
A motion was passed to have the Pawnee County Treasurer issue Tax Sale Certificates to the County covering the delinquent taxes upon such parcels of real estate as are delinquent three years, and the Pawnee County Attorney is authorized and directed to commence foreclosure on each.
