(KAIR) -- Work originally set to begin Wednesday on resurfacing U.S. 59 in Atchison has been rescheduled.
Due to the weather, the work will now begin on Monday on the stretch from the foot of the Amelia Earhart Bridge to the west city limits.
City Manager Trey Cocking says this is part of KDOT’s KLINK cost share program, costing the city is approximately 400 thousand dollars.
Traffic will carried through construction with signage, flaggers and possible pilot vehicles.
The project is expected to be completed in mid-July, weather permitting.
