(KAIR) -- Atchison County Commissioners gave approval Wednesday afternoon to their part of funding if a grant is awarded for the expansion of the trail along the Atchison Riverfront.
However, the resolution of support came with some revisions.
County Commissioner Mike Bodenhausen says he would only support the resolution if a specific cap of 50 thousand dollars was put on their funding.

City officials will now send the application in before Friday’s deadline on the estimated 825 thousand dollar project, which can get up to 80 percent matched by KDOT.
The joint project would extend the River Road trail two-point-eight miles to the Lewis and Clark Campsite.
