The board received six bids and the board went with the low bid from Robert W. Baird and Company at two-point seven-eight-eight-nine percent.

Also, several employees submitted letters of resignation, some of which are for retirement.
Resignations excepted were for Noel Rueb, longtime Atchison Elementary School Principal, Sylvia Reynolds, alternative school teacher, John Oakleaf, alternative school math teacher, Mary Vandeloo, food service worker and John Crittenton, transportation supervisor.
Those resignations will be effective the end of the school year except for Oakleaf and Crittenton. Crittenton’s retirement will be January 31st.
Myers says that will be an opportunity to re-evaluate transportation services.
