(KAIR) -- The USD 409 school board Monday night heard the first reading of the school’s strategic plan of education that would be in place through the 2013-14 school year.
Superintendent Susan Myers says the plan is divided into six pillars.

The board also approved the low bid of New Horizons Enterprises, LLC for 34 thousand 458 dollars for asbestos abatement of the Roosevelt Building at the Atchison Middle School, contingent on the passing of today’s bond issue.
The board also approved the Chief Negotiator and Team Members for annual teacher negotiations.
The negotiators will be board members Diane Liebsch and Herb Gwaltney and Myers and Noel (Noll) Reeve from the administration.
