(KAIR) -- Atchison County personnel are still crunching numbers in an effort to lower the new solid waste fees by November, when property tax statements are mailed.
County Commissioner Jeff Schuele says Solid Waste Project Manager Chase Brunick met with commissioners to talk about some snags he’s come across so far.

He says preliminary projections forecast the current 72 dollar rate to lower.

Atchison County Treasurer Sheila Bilderback indicates a tentative mailing time of November 9th for statements.
Commissioners will have their next meeting Wednesday at their regular time of 9:15.
Schuele says within the next two Commissioner meetings, they hope to take their meeting on the road to Memorial Hall to view upcoming renovation projects for 2013.
