(KAIR) -- Atchison County Commissioners held a special meeting Friday to re-publish their 2013 budget.
Commissioner Jeff Schuele says the re-publishing will cause a slight mill increase from the last published budget.

One mill equals 131 thousand 571 dollars.
The vote to republish carried two to one with Commissioner Mike Bodenhausen voting nay.
Bodenhausen says the re-publication could have been avoided.

Schuele says the end goal is still to reduce the final budget number, pending the receipt of solid waste provider bids and health insurance benefits.
The public hearing for the re-published figures has now been moved to October 3rd.
