Falls City Looks for First Win; Sacred Heart Looks to Keep Rolling in Week 3 of FB Season
09/14/2012

(KTNC) - The Falls City Tigers travel to Omaha tonight to take on an opponent that’s new to the Class C ranks.
The Tigers play Omaha Concordia this evening in a battle of 0-2 teams.  The Tigers lost last week, 34-14, at Raymond Central.  Senior running back Cord Huettner had a big game for Falls City, with 210 yards rushing, but as head coach Darin Fritz says, the Tigers shot themselves in the foot too many times to win the game.  (play audio  :20)
This week, the Tigers look for their first win of the season against a team that played Class D-1 football until this year.  Coach Fritz says they Tigers don’t know much about Concordia other than what they’ve seen on film – and there are a couple things he notices.  (play audio  :24)
You can hear tonight’s Falls City game at Omaha Concordia on KTNC-AM 1230.  The game starts at 7:00 p.m., and will be played at the Bennington Elementary School.
Falls City Sacred Heart plays their first home game of the year tonight.  The Irish have gotten off to a fast start in their first two games of the season, outscoring their opponents by a combined score of 134-18.
Sacred Heart welcomes Axtell, Kansas to Jug Brown Stadium tonight.  Axtell is 1-1 on the season, and Irish coach Doug Goltz says they are a solid team.  (play audio  :27)
The Sacred Heart vs. Axtell game kicks off at 7:00 p.m. today.
