(KTNC) - The Falls City School District is honoring students who excelled on state standardized tests last year.
During a presentation at Monday’s school board meeting, North School Principal Ernie Valentine said explained that several Falls City students did well on the new Nebraska State Assessment tests. (play audio :25)
The students honored Monday were 6th grader Jacob Joy, who had a perfect score on the science test; 6th grader Jaiden Waggoner, who had a perfect reading score; 7th grader Zach Petry for a perfect math score; 8th grader Samantha Harmon for a perfect writing test score; and seniors Dakota Butrick and David Von Behren for perfect writing test scores and Elizabeth Eickhoff for a perfect math test score.
Seventh grader Austin Aldana had perfect scores in all test areas.
Superintendent Tim Heckenlively said the State Board of Education has set rigorous standards for the tests, which are a focus of state education officials. (play audio :13)
