(KAIR) -- After several months of discussion, Atchison County Commissioners voted 2-1 Tuesday to enter into a three-year agreement with Holton-based Techs Inc. to provide ambulance service for the county beginning in 2013.
County Commissioner Jeff Schuele cast the no vote.

In other business, Commissioners are getting closer to finalizing their 2013 budget.
Schuele says the final obstacles include merging funds in order to create better budget efficiency.
He also says they are examining more cuts.

Schuele says the commission has set a tentative target date of their September 10th meeting to approve a proposed budget for publication.
