Weather permitting, work is scheduled to begin the week of May 14 on US-75 from the Kansas State line to Auburn, according to the Nebraska Department of Roads.
Werner Construction LLC of Hastings, has the $10,528,463 contract for the asphalt overlay and pavement repair project. Traffic on this 27-mile highway improvement project will be controlled by one-lane work zones, flaggers and a pilot car. Completion of the project is anticipated in November.
The Department of Roads’ project manager is Bill Cary of Tecumseh. Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously through highway construction zones.
