So, while the three-pointer's were not falling for Frankfort they went to their key staples all season in the post play of Broxterman and Keating. Wildcats would lead throughout the contest and establish the post early with Keating scoring eight points of the 12 by Frankfort in the first quarter.

At the half Frankfort lead it 19-13 over Fowler, but the Goldbugs would make a little run in the third to outscore the Wildcats by two in the third stanza. Then the wildcats would go to Broxterman who would score nine points in the fourth period to help pace the way for a 20-13 fourth for Frankfort and ultimately the victory, punching their ticket to the Class 1A-Division II State Tourney Championship game.

Early foul trouble in the first half on 6'4 big men, junior, Jett Reese and sophomore, Ty Clark would force them to the bench with three personal fouls in the first half allowing Frankfort to utilize their posts even more.
