Citizens and schools in Effingham will see an increase on their next sewer bill.
The Effingham City Council voted four to zero in a special meeting Wednesday night to increase the rate for residents six dollars a month, up to 21 dollars.
According to City Clerk Pat Strine, the council also raised the rates for schools by 200 dollars a month.
