(KLZA)-- During the September 7th meeting of the Nemaha County, Nebraska Commissioners, Commissioner Bryan Mellage Was appointed as the Board representative to the Design Build Committee for the Law Enforcement Building.
The building housing the Sheriff’s Office and Jail is going to be remodeled and reconfigured.
The Board also approved the purchase, by state contract price, a Motorola Radio Console that is compatible with the statewide system. Sheriff Brent Lottman said Motorola would finance the purchase for 10 years with no interest the first two years of the contract.
Commissioners also met with Auburn Mayor Scott Kudrna regarding the City providing and maintaining a “water feature” on the Nemaha County Courthouse courtyard. Following the discussion, the Board felt that at the present time, they are not interested in allowing a water feature in the court yard.
