(KLZA)-- The Falls City Middle School eighth grade class collected $1,050 during their 8th annual Chautauqua Night performances on October 29th at the Middle School.
The topic this year was Time Magazine’s Most Influential People from Around the World. Students spent two weeks researching, writing and practicing their performance.
The students voted to donate the money raised by the performances to the Richardson County Cancer Fund, which provides monetary assistance to Richardson County residents for transportation costs incurred during cancer treatments outside of Richardson County.
Jackie Johnson, President of the Richardson County Cancer Fund explained to the students how the money is utilized and accepted the check on behalf of the organization, praising the kids for their generosity. The students would like to thank the community and school for their contribution and support.
