(KLZA)-- According to the Quarterly EDGE newsletter, work is continuing to get the Gold Star Sausage facility up and running in Falls City.
The plant on the south edge of Falls City is designed to segregate the raw materials from the finished, ready to eat products. This means two of everything must be constructed including offices, bathrooms and break rooms.
The facility must also have dedicated office space for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, which will be on site 40 hours per week. An expansion is being considered to the south of the current building for new freezer space.
Paul Meyer is leading the effort to get the plant open. Meyer says no grand opening date has been scheduled at this point.
Applications for employment at the Gold Star Sausage Plant are available at the Falls City EDGE office. Further information is available at the Gold Star Sausage website: www.goldstarsausage.com/
