(KLZA)-- The Humboldt City Council met Tuesday night. Permission was granted for the Humboldt Chamber to use the City Auditorium and Streets for a Spring Fling event on March 26th. Permission was also granted for the Humboldt Softball Girls to use streets for the annual truck show on June 20th.
Chuck Nanninga met with the Council to discuss deterioration of the embankment behind the Humboldt Housing Authority. Council members will be taking a look at the issue. The Council agreed with a request from Duane Weber not to dump snow on a lot on 3rd Street owned by Weber.
Tim Boles met with the Council to discuss sidewalk snow removal. By city ordinance snow is to be removed from sidewalks around the square within five hours of the end of snowfall. In residential areas sidewalks are to be cleared of snow within 24 hours of the end of snowfall.
The Humboldt Council also agreed to provide two family swim passes to the Humboldt Pool to the Friends of the Library. The passes will be used as raffle prizes with proceeds used for equipment and book purchases for the Humboldt Library.
