(KTNC)--A series of weekend concerts are planned in the Auburn Band Shell this summer.
Ian Miller told the City Council this week that he is organizing the ABC – or Auburn Brownbag Concerts – over four Saturday’s in July and August, beginning this Saturday.
Mayor Scott Kudrna says people can bring their lunch and enjoy the music, featuring many Nemaha County musicians, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The concert schedule now has Company 33 performing this Saturday, Nicole Carbajal on July 26, Nathan Kirby on August 2, and the Ian Miller Band on August 9.
The Auburn City Council approved a motion to spend up to $3,461 of KENO funds to purchase some new audio equipment and help with the programming for the concerts.
Mayor Kudrna says the city has needed a good sound system for the band shell for a long time.
