Workshops Planned in Nebraska on Manure Application Techniques
01/21/2014

(AP) - Nebraska farmers and livestock producers who want to use manure as fertilizer must be certified by the state, so they may need to attend at least part of an upcoming workshop.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension office is planning seven workshops across the state in January and February on manure application techniques.

The one-day classes also cover regulations on storing and applying manure.

Nebraska farms must complete a training course once every five years. Livestock producers who hold waste control facility permits must be certified.

More details about the classes are available online at H T T P COLON SLASH SLASH Manure DOT unl DOT edu.
