(KTNC) -- Pawnee County Commissioners set the salaries for the county’s elected officials for the term of office from 2015 through 2018 when they met Monday.
The board approved a motion to set the salaries for the County Assessor, County Attorney, County Clerk, and Treasurer at $37,000 in 2015. Their salaries will increase one thousand dollars each year through 2018.
The Sheriff’s salary was set at $40,200 in 2015, also increasing one thousand dollars annually through 2018.
The motion also states that any elected official the board designates as the budget-making authority will be paid a maximum of $1,600 in 2015, $1,700 in 2016, $1,800 in 2017, and $1,900 in 2018. The County Clerk will be paid $500 a year to perform General Assistance duties.
Office deputies will be paid salaries totaling 75-percent of the regular elected officials.
In other business, the Pawnee County Board approved a series of annual resolutions on Monday.
The 2014 holidays, bank depositories and banks of investments will remain the same as 2013. The Pawnee Republican will continue as the official county newspaper.
Commissioners did make a change to the meeting dates. Beginning on January 7, the board will meet every other Tuesday. That’s a change from previous years when the board has met the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. One exception will be in November, when the board will meet on Monday, November 10 rather than Tuesday, November 11, which is Veteran’s Day.
