(KNZA)--Be on the lookout for suspicious activity.
That's the message delivered by Brown County Sheriff John Merchant, seeking help from the community in watching for suspicious activity that can sometimes indicate burglaries in the making.
Merchant says the key to avoiding such crimes is awareness.
Merchant says a good bet that has been successful in catching burglars in the act is the use of trail cameras. According to Merchant, the images captured by such cameras has been used locally in the successful prosecution of criminals.
