(KLZA) The Pawnee County Board of Commissioners met Tuesday. Board members approved an ongoing agreement with Region V for Emergency Protective Custody services and a sub-grant agreement between the Clerk of the District Court and Department of Health and Human Services.
The board reconvened as a Board of Equalization and approved corrections for a number of clerical errors presented by County Assessor Jonathan Bailey. Dates for protest hearings of property valuations were set for Tuesday afternoon July 9th, Thursday July 11th beginning at 9 a-m and again Tuesday, July 23rd in the afternoon.
Blue Rivers Area Agency on Aging representative Larry Ossowski met with Commissioners to present a request for $520 for the fiscal year 2013-14. That is the same amount as last year. Commissioners unanimously approved the request.
Clint Strayhorn and April Sejkora with Emergency Management met with the Board regarding the request for the 2013-14 fiscal year. The Board approved an interlocal agreement for cooperative public safety services by and among the counties of Pawnee, Richardson, Cass, Gage, Saline, Seward, Thayer and York and the cities and villages within those counties.
The Board also approved the appointment of Dalen Beethe to the Veterans Service Committee from the Dalton McHugh Post #5289 beginning July 1st.
