(KLZA) Weather permitting, The Nebraska Department of Roads says three fog seal projects will begin the week of June 3 in southeast Nebraska.
One will be on Nebraska Highway 62, east and west of Elk Creek. Another project will be east of Steinauer on S 67-B. The third project will be on U-S 136 Highway east of Tecumseh to the Nebraska Highway 105 and U-S-136 junction.
A fog seal is oil sprayed onto the surface of a newer road to seal the fine cracks.
State maintenance forces will be doing a fog seal projects. The work on Highways 62 and 136 is anticipated to take two days. The work near Steinauer is anticipated to take one day to complete.
One-lane traffic will occur with the use of a pilot vehicle and flaggers for all three projects. The speed limit through this area will be reduced to 45 mph. Motorists should expect to see delays and are reminded to drive cautiously through highway work zones.
