(KTNC) - Details have been set for Falls City’s Spring Community Clean Up. The event will be held Saturday, April 20, from 8:00 a.m. till Noon.
Falls City Sanitation and Tim Koelzer’s Salvage will be located in the parking lot on Barada between 18th and Chase Streets to collect large items, such as furniture and metals, that are too large to dispose of in the regular trash.
April 20th also marks the return of Saturday recycling collections. Full recycling will be available at the Recycling Center, at 6th and Stone Streets, on the first and third Saturdays of each month beginning April 20th. Items need to be cleaned and sorted.
Clean up organizers also say that Tyler Bek and Son can be hired to help move heavy items from homes for $10 or $20, by calling 245-7378 by April 18th.
Falls City residents are also encouraged to “freecycle” during the week of April 15 to April 20, by placing items at the curb marked with a “free” sign. Items not picked up can be disposed of that Saturday.
One change to this spring’s clean up. Goodwill Industries has cancelled its collection, though they may be back for the next community clean up the third week of October.
An official clean up list is available at City Hall, the Falls City Library, and the Chamber of Commerce. A list is also being sent home with elementary school students.
