Pawnee County Commissioners Meet

(KLZA) The Pawnee County Commissioners met Tuesday.  April McHenry with the Extension Board met with Commissioners.  The appointment of Pam Mitchell to the Extension Board was approved.  She will replace Mark Hunzeker who goes off the Extension Board.
A resolution to vacate plats in the Village of Mayberry was approved and Board members also approved the appointment of the Richardson County Attorney's Office to review inheritance tax presented by the Stehlik Law Office.
 A letter from the Valley County Board of Supervisors regarding inheritance tax was reviewed along with correspondence from Larry Dix with the Nebraska Association of County Officials regarding inheritance tax.
Highway Superintendent Chris Rauner met with Commissioners to discuss the low water crossing for Joseph Stutzman.  The Board decided due to the very low traffic volume on 711 Trail that no action would be taken on the low water crossing or rocking the remainder of the road.  The crossing will continue to be signed as needed.
The Board also approved the expenditure of $34,675 for a rock trailer from Construction Trailer Specialists.
