(KTNC) - The public got a chance to offer ideas on Falls City’s future during two town hall meetings Wednesday. The meetings were held at Konstantino’s Pizza, and allowed people to offer input as the city begins to formulate its next comprehensive plan.
The plan is in its formative stages and will be developed over the course of the next year.
Keith Marvin of Marvin Planning Consultants is facilitating the process and explained the purpose of the plan. (play audio :47 “get there.”)
Marvin said the more people that are involved in the plan, the better it will be.
One way to stay engaged and participate is through the website, engage Falls City dot com. (www.engagefallscity.com)
Steve Miller, co-founder of Mind Mixer, developed the website and explains there are rewards available for offering ideas on the website. (play audio :52 “on the website.”)
It is necessary to register to be able to comment on the website.
People at the town hall meetings were asked to comment on Falls City’s assets and offer ideas on areas where improvement could be made.
In addition to the town hall meetings and the website, input is also being gathered from community leaders and high school students.
