(KAIR) -- A Savannah, Missouri man scheduled for a jury trial Tuesday on multiple charges changes his plea as part of a plea agreement Friday in Atchison County District Court.

Ricky Billings pled no contest to charges of felony fleeing and eluding law enforcement, and misdemeanor interference with a law enforcement officer.

In exchange, charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended and driving under the influence were dismissed.

Billings was arrested on May 20th after a pursuit that began with the Kansas Highway Patrol trying to initiate a traffic stop for an alleged seatbelt violation.

According to the Patrol, the vehicle led him on a high speed chase through Atchison, which led to Trooper Clark terminating the pursuit.

Later Atchison County Sheriff Deputies located Billings’ vehicle abandoned in the 1100 block of U Street.

After receiving tips from the public, authorities later located Billings after a lengthy foot chase.

Authorities later learned that he was wanted by the state of Missouri on a parole violation.

Sentencing is scheduled for October 15th. He remains in Atchison County Jail on 20 thousand dollars bond.
