Busboom Joins Husker Volleyball Coaching Staff
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Former Nebraska volleyball player Dani Busboom is rejoining the Cornhuskers as an assistant coach.
Head coach John Cook announced Friday that he has hired Busboom away from Louisville, where she was an assistant for a year. She replaces Dan Conners, who resigned last week.
Busboom helped Louisville to the semifinals of the Big East tournament last year. She'll assist Cook with the setters, liberos and outside hitters.
Busboom grew up in Cortland, Neb., and starred at Freeman High School before playing for the Huskers. She was a four-year starter and team captain as a senior in 2006.
Busboom said she's happy to return home and coach at what she called arguably the best volleyball program in the nation.
