Huskers Picked to win Big Ten Volleyball Title
Chicago, Ill. - The Nebraska volleyball team was selected as the favorite to win the Big Ten Conference title in the coaches' preseason poll released by the conference office Thursday afternoon. The defending Big Ten Champion Huskers were voted to finish first, with Penn State voted to finish second and Purdue third. Minnesota, Illinois and Ohio State rounded out the rest of the top six.
The conference office also announced its Preseason All-Big Ten Team on Thursday. Three Huskers were honored, including unanimous selections seniors Lauren Cook and Hannah Werth. They were joined by senior Gina Mancuso, as the Huskers were one of four schools with more than two all-conference honorees.
The Huskers will hold their annual Red/White Scrimmage at 7 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are still available online at Huskers.com or by calling 1-800-8-BIGRED.
