Effingham Pool Party Fees Remain Untouched
06/07/2012

Pool party fees will remain untouched in Effingham.

The city council decided Wednesday night that fees will stay at 100 dollars for a two hour party for up to 40 people.

Also, the council will not go with weather radios from Homeland Security.

They will look into options from area emergency preparedness instead.

That’s because the council is concerned they would not receive reimbursement from the radios from Homeland Security.

They also tabled an ordinance that would speed up the condemnation process on dangerous and unfit structures because the city attorney was not present.

County Commissioner Mike Bodenhausen also visited the council expressing interest in having a public meeting in his district on upcoming county projects.
