An effort to recall Richardson County Assessor Regina Cummings is nearing the end. Petitioners have until March 7th to turn in their signatures to get a possible recall vote on the May 15th Primary ballot.
Fred Brewer and Terry Lotter have led the recall effort. Brewer says petitioners are continuing to gather signatures. ( play audio :10 seconds )
Brewer said one thing that he is hearing from people is a fear of repercussion if they sign the recall petition. ( play audio :36 seconds )
Under state statutes the value of all taxable real property parcels are taxed uniformly and proportionately.
