Peru State Baseball Sweeps Weekend Series
02/20/2012

The Peru State College baseball team swept a three game series from Friends University over the weekend in Wichita.
The Bobcats won Saturday’s game, 11-7.  Will Scott was the winning pitcher, giving up just three hits and two earned runs while striking out seven.
Peru State then took both games of a doubleheader Sunday, by scores of 2-1 and 13-0.  Bryan Duncan and Tim Crawford were the winning pitchers for the Bobcats.
The three wins move the ‘Cats over the .500 mark for the season, with a 4-2 record.  Today’s (Monday’s) scheduled game against Dakota State University has been canceled due to the forecast for rain.  Peru State travels to McPherson, Kansas this weekend to take on McPherson College.
