Calling out all young artists! The 61st Annual GFWC Art Contest and Exhibit is rapidly approaching, with entries being accepted for the show later this week. Entries for the contest can be delivered to the Falls City Library and Arts Center this Thursday, February 16th, between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m.
The exhibit will open with an open house on Wednesday, February 22nd, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
The Falls City Chapter of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs co-sponsors the art show, along with the Richardson County Arts and Humanities Council.
The contest attracted more than 600 entries last year, and show coordinators hope to top that number this year. For category and guideline information, or to enter artwork, e-mail Rita Seid at arts_humanities@sentco.net, or call (402) 245-7237.
