Richardson Co Commission Approve Projects and Agreements

(KLZA)-- Richardson County Commissioners voted to enter into an agreement with A.M. Cohron & Son Inc. out of Atlantic, Iowa for the construction of the Verdon Northwest Bridge Project when they met last week.  

Commissioners also voted to enter into an agreement with  Pictometry International Corporation for their services, and to enter into an interlocal agreement with the City of Falls City for the cost-sharing of the Pictometry project. Pictometry is a mapping company that will be utilized by the Assessors office and the Falls City Utility, Department. 

Paul Grieger with the D.A. Davidson Company met with the Board regarding the refinancing of general obligation Highway Allocation Fund Pledge Bonds, Series 2011. Commissioners voted to enter into a parameters resolution to proceed with the early redemption and refinance of the general obligation bonds.

A change order was approved to add to the original informal quote of $14,648 received for the replacement of the stairs on the south side entrance of the Courthouse to now include the sidewalk and entrance step to the south door of the Courthouse building for an additional estimated amount of $5,000.  

Also approved was a purchase order for the GIS Mapping system in an amount of $4,500 submitted by Emergency Management Director Brian Dixon, which is accessible to all county departments.
