(KLZA)-- Richardson County Commissioners received a quote from Haug Communications for radio programming for the Road Department during their Tuesday meeting.
The price, including 48 Motorola radio’s, antennas, installation of the units and the license, is $24,535. The monthly fee is $75, which would increase after five years.
Highway Superintendent Scott Huppert reported the radio reception using the option provided by Haug on a trial basis is working great and recommended the ty Board approve the purchase of the necessary equipment to use the system for the Road Department permanently. The Board will consider the quote next week.
In other business, William VonSeggern met with Commissioners to further discuss the renewal of the contract for Public Defender. The current contract expires December 31. No action was taken by the Board.
