(KLZA)-- The Falls City Volunteer Fire Department and the Falls City Police Department responded to a fire call Friday night.

A call came in at 8:39 p-m to 3423 McLean Street, the residence of Trisha Butler.  Fire Chief Ken Simpson said that a remote control car was plugged into an electrical outlet for recharging. The plug and the car melted.

Simpson said a police officer was able to use a fire extinguisher to put out the fire.  11 firemen responded to the call and were on the scene for just a few minutes.
