(KLZA)-- Santa Claus will visit Falls City Friday evening. The Falls City Chamber of Commerce and Main Street will sponsor Falls City’s Home for the Holidays event.
Throughout the day merchants will have a few treats for shoppers. The big moment occurs at 6 p-m. when Santa arrives by sleigh at 17th and Stone Streets.
Santa will be in his house to visit with kids until 8 p-m. While waiting to visit with Santa you can take a sleigh ride through downtown and of course get in some shopping of your own.
Chamber Director David Branch says shopping at home helps to make sure we have opportunities to continue shopping locally in the future. $68 of every $100 you spend at a local store goes back into the community. The Falls City Chamber is collaborating with Chambers in Seneca, Sabetha and Hiawatha to promote shopping at home.
Santa will be make visits to Falls City on Sunday November 29, 1-3 p-m at Norma’s Antique Mall; on Thursday December 4 at Mary’s Appliance from 5 – 7 p-m; Saturday the 6th, at Browns Shoe fit from 1-3 p-m.; Thursday the 11th, at Wolfes Printing from 5-7 p-m; Saturday the 13th at Merz Implement from 2 – 4 p-m and again on Sunday the 14th at Norma’s Antique Mall from 1-3 p-m.
