(KTNC) -- Mound City Aldermen discussed a proposal to locate an R-V Park in the 600 Block of Gillis Street during last week’s meeting, but city approval isn’t needed for the facility to go forward.
Chad Keiffer has proposed putting an RV Park on his property to house workers on the proposed wind farm in southern Holt County.
Element Power is proposing building a 200-megawatt wind farm in Holt County that would be the largest wind farm in the state of Missouri.
Keiffer said his plans would go forward only if the wind farm proceeds. He told aldermen he plans to install one water meter and run six hydrants from that to supply 12 R-V hook-ups.
After the wind farm is complete, Keiffer said he’d leave an area for a hook-up to accommodate someone with a camper visiting a local resident.
Keiffer was to consult with City Attorney Brian Tubbs about space requirements and other regulations. The City Council doesn’t need to approve the R-V Park, as the use is permitted in an R-2 residential district.
