(KLZA)-- Christmas on State Street will be presented by the State Theater Arts Council of Mound City on Saturday. The first year event will be held from 2 – 6 p-m.
State Street will be closed for traffic between 5th and 7th Streets.
Activities are planned for all ages. Will Stuck, a storyteller will present a children’s program at the State Theater starting at 2 p-m. Following the show Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus will arrive via fire truck.
Children can give Santa their Christmas gift list.
Food and craft booths sponsored by local organizations and churches will be set up on the area of State Street that is closed. There will be pony and cart rides. At 5:30 p-m the lighting of the Mayors Christmas Tree will take place on State Street.
