Teen Killed in Eastern Nebraska Crash

   PLATTSMOUTH, Neb. (AP) - A crash involving a semitrailer in eastern Nebraska has killed a 13-year-old boy and seriously injured three others.

Officials say the crash happened Friday afternoon when the semi crested a hill on Highway 75 just south of Plattsmouth and slammed into a line of cars stopped for construction.

Officials say 66-year-old Phyllis Durand, 42-year-old Kelley Houfek and two children in Houfek's car were flown from the scene to an Omaha hospital, where the 13-year-old boy died. 

The 60-year-old driver of the semi, Kevin Monahan, was not injured.

All involved live in Cass County, where the crash occurred.

The crash remains under investigation.
