(KAIR) -- The Route E/U bridge replacement project over I-29 in northern Platte County near Camden Point is on schedule and all lanes of north and southbound I-29 will close at 7 p.m. Monday, June 24 until 5 a.m. Tuesday, June 25 to allow Missouri Department of Transportation contractor crews to safely set bridge girders.
Interstate traffic will use the ramps at the interchange to bypass the road closure.
A signed detour will be in place for local traffic to bypass the bridge closure using Route EE to Route Z near Dearborn to Route H and onto Route 371.
The Route E/U Bridge will remain closed until August 16.
The on and off ramps at I-29 will remain open throughout most of the project, but must close for no more 14 days to allow crews to do pavement repair and tie into the new bridge.
