Portis was booked on the charges of conspiracy to commit burglary and contributing to a child’s misconduct, in addition to the burglary charge.
He remains in Atchison County Jail awaiting bond and formal charges.
Portis still has another case pending in the courts connected to recent criminal activity.
He’s expected to be sentenced on January 11th after pleading guilty to felony computer crime and misdemeanor criminal use of a financial card for taking a debit card from a vehicle in late November and unlawfully using it on a Redbox machine outside CVS Pharmacy.
He was also arrested on theft charges, but those charges were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
