(KAIR) -- Over the last several weeks, several Atchison senior citizens have received calls that may be alarming on the surface, but really is a scam.
Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson says there have been three scams that have caused concern.

He also says to not release any financial information to the caller, in fact, take further steps to protect your savings.

Wilson reminds citizens that since these calls usually occur overseas and are in high volume, local police are unable to adequately work an investigation on the matter.
