One Way Traffic to End in Downtown Falls City
11/01/2012

(KTNC) - Traffic in downtown Falls City will go both ways, beginning later this month.
As work wraps up on the first phase of the Falls City downtown revitalization project, the current one-way traffic configuration on Stone Street and Chase Street, between 14th and 21st, will be changed to two-way traffic.  That change will become official at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, November 19th.
According to Falls City Main Street Executive Director Eric Barr, the flashing traffic signals will remain at the intersections of 15th and Stone and 16th and Stone.  Four-way stop signs will be installed at 17th and Stone and 18th and Stone.
Barr says plans are to keep the parallel parking on the east side of Stone, but the diagonal parking on the west side of the street may become a bit sharper to accommodate the change.
