(KLZA) The Pawnee County Commissioners met in special session Thursday to interview applicants for the position of Pawnee County Attorney. Current Pawnee County Attorney Victor Faeser has announced he will be resigning in December.
10 applications for the position were received. Four of the applicants withdrew their applications, one did not appear and one asked for another time for an interview due to a previous commitment.
The three applicants that appeared were Benjamin Beethe of Steinauer, Darin Knepper of Beatrice and Robert Meyer of Falls City who currently serves as the Richardson County Attorney.
Christopher Lackert of Brooklyn, New York interviewed by phone conference. The fifth applicant is scheduled to meet with Commissioners on Tuesday, October 23rd.
