(KAIR) -- Enrollment figures are down at Jefferson County North schools for 2012-13.
Superintendent Denise Jennings says it dropped by 17 pupils from last year and attributes it to one simple factor.

In other business at Monday night’s school board meeting, the board began outlying capital outlay projects to start upon the final payment on the elementary school building in April.
They include classroom modifications at the high school and renovating the high school track.
